Maca Powder as a Nutritional Supplement

Back in 2008, my wife was researching online for a natural way to regulate her cycles.  She was recommended Maca by a user on a forum. She mixed 2 spoonfuls in 2 smoothies for the both of us.  We sat on the couch and watched TV as we began sipping.  Within a minute, I felt a unique sensation from my abdominal area.  It was similar to the sensation I would get when suddenly becoming very aroused, but amplified.  My energy level also increased.  My best guess is that consuming a high level of vitamins, minerals, amino & fatty acids, etc all at once has a significant impact on one’s hormone levels and metabolism.

My wife discovered that she did not like the taste, so the smoothie was the first and last time she ever ate it.  I continued to take it either every day or every other day.  To this date, I still take it although only once or twice a week.
